CAVE PICTURES PUBLISHING Titles Debut In January 2019

CPP Logo
EDITOR’S NOTE:  I learned about this new company during Baltimore Comic Con.  I’ll post an article with more information on them as soon as I get organized enough from my recent travels to catch up on all my writing.  Keep watching this space for more from Cave Pictures and Baltimore Comic Con . . . . . .

From the official Cave Pictures press release . . . . .

October 11, 2018  Springfield, VA -- Revealing a slate of new titles during last week’s New York Comic Con, publishing venture Cave Pictures Publishing (http://cavepicturespublishing.comhas entered the indie comics world with a new vision for modern myth-telling.

Founded by entertainment executive Mark Rodgers of the cause marketing and creative production firm More Partnerships, Cave Pictures Publishing’s line of spiritually inclined comics debuts in comic shops this January.

“Since humans have always sought to make sense of their lives, hopes, dreams, and fears through stories, Cave Pictures is committed to exploring questions that cannot be answered by reason alone through narrative,” said CPP President Mandi Hart.

The new line of comics mini-series features work from some of the industry’s brightest lights, crafting top-quality and spiritually meaningful stories.

The first title, the horror comedy APPALACHIAN APOCALYPSE, launches in January from writer Billy Tucci (Shi, Heroes for Hire) and artist Ethan Nicolle(Axe Cop).
Appalachian Apocalypse

Following series launching each month thereafter include:
THE LIGHT PRINCESS, a fairy tale by writer Meredith Finch (ROSE, Catwoman) with art by Renae De Liz Ray Dillon (The Legend of Wonder Woman).
Light Princess

THE BLESSED MACHINE, a sci-fi escape thriller by Jesse Hamm (Batman, Flash Gordon) and company founder Mark Rodgers with art by Hamm.
Blessed Machine

THE NO ONES, action-packed superhero drama by writer Jim Krueger(Absolute Justice, Earth X) with art by Well-Bee (Entropy).
No Ones - Ripple Sketch

WYLDE, a supernatural western by Daniel Bradford (Robot 13).
Wylde

Cave Pictures draws its mission and vision from Plato’s allegory of the cave; that what we see with our eyes is often a shadow of greater reality. “All our stories, regardless of genre, are meant to serve as guides along the journey of human experience,” said Rodgers, CPP’s publisher.

“We are living in an age of deep questioning, deep reflection on what it means to be human and how we are to coexist in a complex and ever-shrinking world,” added Hart. “Cave contributes to this conversation by cultivating stories that engage mind, heart, and spirit and provide fodder for personal meditation as well as conversation with others.”

About Cave Pictures Publishing

A wall for modern myth-making, Cave Pictures Publishing works with high profile, award-winning artists to create spiritually resonant and universally engaging stories. Originally the vision of Publisher Mark Rodgers, Cave is helmed by attorney-filmmaker Mandi Hart and the dynamic duo of Matt Hoffman and Shahriar Fouladi from the pop-culture consulting and management company Erasmus Fox. Cave is an offshoot of More Partnerships, a consulting and production firm specializing in content and campaigns that promote social good. More Partnerships produces and invests in a variety of creative projects, from film, documentaries and stage productions to books, concerts and live events. Sure Things: WYNONNA EARP Graphic Novel Bursting Out of Kickstarter

EDITOR’S NOTE:  It’s no secret anymore that Kickstarter and IndieGoGo are viable avenues for creators to secure funding for their independent comics projects (that in most cases weren’t csonsidered marketable enough for major publishers to fund them). Lately, I’ve seen smaller comics publishing house use crowdsourcing as well to finance projects that may be too risky to put money behind - - - so put together a Kickstarter or IndieGoGo campaign and allow  it to find it’s own market through interested supporters. That may very well be the way all future IDW LIMITED editions are intended to be funded  - - and why not?  Who knew WYNONNA EARP would have such a following that the project is 152% funded with almost a full month left to pull in more supporters  If you’re a fan of the SyFy television series, you owe it to yourself to check this out further .. . . . . .

WYNONNA EARP: BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK IS ON KICKSTARTER NOW

Wynonna Earp: Bad Day At Black Rock is a brand-new story co-written by Beau Smith and Tim Rozon with art by Chris Evenhuis and Jay Fotos. This new adventure will be delivered as a completed original 64-page graphic novel. This new adventure puts Wynonna and the whole Black Badge Division up against the baddest of the bad: the inmates of Black Rock Paranormal Prison who're trying to make a break for it! It's a rip-roaring, knock-down, drag out fight bursting out of a 64-page original graphic novel - meaning you won't have to wait month-to-month to see how the story ends!
