Photo Essay: FIRST STATE COMIC CON

The January 2018 edition of FIRST STATE COMIC CON attracted good-sized crowds for most of the day, and not just for the Cosplay and Magnum mustache competitions. There were plenty of professional writer and artist guests and a plentiful assortment of vendors with comics, toys, art, jewelry, and videos for sale.
I worked a table and did better than the last time I attempted this, not great but good enough to make me glad I was here and eager to come back again. Where else can you hang all day with those who share our common interest in comics and pop culture?
Ron Wilson had some great prints for sale, as did PLB Comics and the other guests.
There were some familiar faces from comic shops in the area . . . . .
There were equally friendly folks in costume all through the show.(See photos to the left and below.)
I mistook this cosplay for Rogue. She's actually dressed as a Manga character I wasn't familiar with. (No, not the Harley Quinn photo! See the one just below it.)
That's not Power Girl and The Hood - - it's Cloak and Dagger!
Mario gets into the comics-selling biz after the Nintendo gig expired . . . . .
