The Baldur’s Gate Heroes Return in a New 5-Issue Series Featuring a Rotating Art Team
San Diego, CA (January 31, 2018) – Break out your 20-sided die and prepare to get spellcasting! DUNGEONS & DRAGONS returns to comics this April with more adventures starring the Baldur’s Gate heroes from series past. Fan favorite writer Jim Zub (Samurai Jack, Avengers) is back to weave another tale and he’s joined by a top-notch stable of artists including Dean Kotz (Charmed Season 9), Steven Cummings (Wayward), Harvey Tolibao (Green Arrow), Ramon Bachs (X-Men), and Francesco Mortarino (Jupiter’s Circle). Rounding out the stellar art team is Max Dunbar (Gears of War) who returns to the world of D&D to provide covers.
Each artist will tackle an issue of the series which will focus on an individual hero from our band of adventurers to explore what makes them tick, making DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Evil at Baldur’s Gate the most character-centric series of D&D to date.
“Dungeons & Dragons sparked a lifelong desire to create stories in me that's never really gone away,” said writer Zub. “Dungeons & Dragons is all about exploration and engaging the unknown that lurks around every corner. I love the feeling of exploration that sword & sorcery stories provide. Evil At Baldur's Gate is our fourth D&D mini-series with this cast and is a great way to jump on board and join in the adventure!”
The Baldur’s Gate heroes return to the city at last, but their time adventuring in Ravenloft and the frozen northern reaches of the Realms has changed them. Each of them must face great trials ahead before they’ll be ready to embrace their destiny. Minsc, Krydle & Shandie, Delina, Nerys Kathon, and Boo will all take center stage throughout this series. While it does continue Zub’s run on D&D, each story is self-contained and so fans can jump on board anywhere and introduce themselves to this beloved cast of characters.
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Evil at Baldur’s Gate arrives this April and is guaranteed to feature a miniature giant space hamster (in case you were wondering)!
