Acclaimed Eisner Award-winning creator Eric Shanower (Adventures in OzLittle Nemo: Return to Slumberland) brings back a beloved Harvey classic in Casper’s Ghostland #1 – 100TH Issue Anniversary, debuting at American Mythology as a milestone event. From 1958 through 1979, Casper’s Ghostlandpresented the playful antics of The Friendly Ghost, Wendy the Witch, Hot Stuff, Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost, the Ghostly Trio, Nightmare the Galloping Ghost, and more for a total of 98 issues, followed by a special Harvey Comics one-shot in 1992. Now published in black-and-white with gray tones and featuring hijinks set in the era of their Hollywood heyday, the new series will deliver a satisfying dose of nostalgia for hardcore Moe, Larry, and Curly fans. This riotous first issue features two stories: “Shaky Bakers,” a haunted house romp by the Casper’s Ghostland team of Mike Wolfer and Eric Shanower, and “Counting Shemp” by Adrian Ropp (Pink Panther) and James Kuhoric (Army of Darkness). For centuries, vampires, werewolves, and more have preyed upon humanity.
