What's Columnist GS BEATTY Been Up To?

EDITOR'S NOTE:  Occasional Pop Culture Podium columnist Gary Scott Beatty returns with an update on his latest project, links to his work and some free music. Speaking of free, I’ve been taking it for granted that I can read his work on Webtoons anytime I want, so I keep putting that off.  If you’re in the same boat with me, here’s a heads up.  One of the longer storylines there, Welcome To Dunwich, may be removed. Time for us to get busy, check it out, and give him some likes on the page. Also, Gary’s looking for Patreon supporters to help continue his free web offerings. If you like what you see, kick in a few bucks.  I’m now Supporter #3.

Let’s hear from Gary . . . . . . . . .

I emerge from drawing gods and monsters blinking, hand up to ward off the sun's bright rays. A couple of pages into Gods of Aazurn: Witches and it's getting Biblical.

Welcome, all.  I hope to entertain you. First, a look at a couple of those climactic panels from the new GN. If you're curious where this series is eventually heading, these visuals should leave no doubt. It won't be pleasant.
There are more panels, in-depth explanations and inks posted on my Patreon, if you're into that sort of thing.  Go here:  https://www.patreon.com/garyscottbeatty

If you missed the Kickstarter I don't know when and where you will be able to read Witches. I'm down to a dozen likes on the last chapters on Webtoons (thank you, the 12!) so that's obviously not a sustainable venue. I'm considering removing Welcome to Dunwich from Webtoons. It doesn't really work with the ongoing Gods of Aazurn storyline. So if you're in the middle of Welcome to Dunwich you'll want to finish soon. If I get an uptick in Likes there I may keep it around.

Speaking of Welcome to Dunwich, have a look at this, from the aptly named Mark Bloodworth. Don't you wish there was MORE Welcome to Dunwich?

Maybe there can be.

Some movie reviews next week, I think. 1970s B-movie horror still fascinates me. Even with the flaws, it's interesting what creative filmmakers can do when the people in charge aren't paying attention to them.

I leave you with Goblin's score to Dario Argento's Suspiria, because, strange as it is, you deserve a little music in your life.  Go here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkZ2rdbDHM4&feature=youtu.be

In glorious service to our Aazurn overlords,
Gary Scott Beatty
