A-list actor, CAS ANVAR, the standout star of one of TV's top primetime series, The Expanse, is coming into Philly this weekend as part of The Philadelphia Comic Con.
Anvar was the instrumental force spurring the popular series from its first home on SyFy to its now permanent home with season 4 premiering on Amazon Prime. The show's immensely popular stars -- Cas Anvar, along with the three of the most visible women on the show, Dominique Tipper, Frankie Adams and Cara Gee-- will be making their first appearance together at Philadelphia Comic Con 2019 from April 12-14.
Philadelphia Comic Con 2019 starts Friday, April 12 and runs through Sunday, April 14. This is the first time any star from the hit show, The Expanse, will be there.

Anvar headed back to Toronto's Pinewood Studios early fall for The Expanse Season Four. Prior to that, he completed his role in international spy thriller The Operative with Diane Kruger and Martin Freeman. He also co-stars in Veena Sud's motion picture, The Lie (Blumhouse) opposite Peter Sarsgaard, Mireille Enos and Joey King which held its world premiere at the Toronto Int'l Film Festival in Sept. 2018
Cas' versatility on the big screen ranges from roles opposite Ben Affleck in the Oscar winning feature film Argo (garnering a SAG “Outstanding Performance” Award), Jake Gyllenhaal in the Sci-Fi adventure Source Code, John Cusak in the suspense thriller The Factory, co-starring in Steven Spielberg's The Terminal opposite Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeta Jones and Stanley Tucci and his lauded turn in Oscar contender, Room, for which Brie Larson won the Academy Award.
Earlier this year, Cas' recurring character “Sanjay Desai,” an opportunistic young businessman, finished out the fourth and final season of FX's critically lauded The Strain.
The Canadian-born actor and voice-over star who graduated from Montreal's prestigious National Theatre School (Canada’s Julliard) first came to popular attention for his portrayal of Kambiz Foroohar in the Cruise/Wagner film Shattered Glass, nominated for 4 Spirit Awards and a Golden Globe.
Guest TV appearances include CBS' hit NCIS: LA and Intelligence, USA network's In Plain Sight, TNT’s Leverage, Fox’s 24, ABC’s Castle, co-hosting PBS 2015 Christmas special and as the lead character in SyFy's 2015 series, Olympus. He is a favorite on the talk show circuit for his exceptional anecdotes, casual story-telling and impeccable delivery.
An accomplished stage actor, Anvar has played countless leading roles in Shakespeare's most famous plays and was intricately involved with the acclaimed Shakespeare-in-the-Park touring company and Montreal-based Repercussion Theatre for many years. The fluently trilingual (English, French and Farsi) Anvar credits part of his wide-ranging creativity to his exotic cultural and spiritual heritage. He splits his time between Toronto and Los Angeles.
