Local In-Store Signing: MATTHEW ROSENBERG January 9th

Comics writer MATTHEW ROSENBERG will make a special appearance at CAPTAIN BLUE HEN COMICS (280 East Main Street, Suite 101, Newark, Delaware) this Thursday, January 9, from 4 - 8 p.m.

4 KIDS WALK INTO A BANK will be the subject of Captain Blue Hen's monthly CBH Book Club discussion.  How cool is that to have the creator participate in discussion of his own work?
From 4-6:30 p.m., Matthew will meet comic fans and sign copies of his various works.  From 6:30 - 8 p.m., Matthew's indie comics creation 4 KIDS WALK INTO A BANK will be the Book Club discussion.

Biographical information compiled from an internet search of various web sites.

MATTHEW ROSENBERG was born and raised in New York City. Prior to becoming a full-time comics writer, he managed a print shop, managed rock bands and directed music videos, co-owned a small indie record label and worked in a comics shop.

He is a graduate of DC Comics first Writer's Workshop program under the guidance of writer Scott Snyder (Batman, etc.) and did some work on BLACK CANARY and others for DC.

Ronsenberg began to earn more recognition when he collaborated with rapper Ghostface Killah and writer Patrick Kindlon on  12 REASONS TO DIE for Black Mask Studios. He followed that up with his original story WE CAN NEVER GO HOME and became a writer for Marvel Comics shortly after that, beginning with work on ROCKET RACCOON, SECRET WARRIORS, KINGPIN and others.

His other independent comics work includes 4 KIDS WALK INTO A BANK, the subject of Captain Blue Hen's Book Club discussion.   He also wrote ARCHIES MEET RAMONES for Archie Comics.
Rosenberg just completed a 12-issue run of THE PUNISHER for Marvel Comics featuring an all-out war with Baron Zemo and the entire fictional country of Bagalia.  Prior to that he wrote a Punisher series where Frank Castle wore the War Machine armor.  Last week the first issue of HAWKEYE: FREEFALL, written by Rosenberg with art by Otto Schmidt, was released. Rosenberg will also be writing the re-boot of FORCE WORKS for Marvel.

Rosenberg posts news and updates about his projects at www.ashcanpress.tumblir.com (https://twitter.com/ashcanpress?lang=en), a website he shares with writer Patrick Kindlon.
