STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER - - THE GALAXY NEEDS YOU by Caitlin Kennedy, writer, Eda Kaban ,illustrations. (Disney Lucasfilm Press, December 2019) Hardcover, 48 pages.  ISBN # 1368051820 / 9781368051828.

 Summary on the Goodreads website . . . . .

Have you ever stopped to think about how there is nobody else in the galaxy who is exactly like you? This empowering picture book celebrates young heroes-in-the-making and features illustrations that follow Rey on her own hero's journey.

My Five-Star Review on the Goodreads website . . . . .

I picked this up for my five-year old grandson, who is interested in most things Star Wars (cartoons, children's books, comics, Lego's, movies, television, etc). He was able to follow along and read aloud most of the words.

This serves as a neat inspirational book to help develop self-confidence and feelings of importance among young readers. I though the message conveyed through familiar Star Wars characters (most prominently Rey) was well done. There's not a complex plot here, as the story is told mostly in flashback scenes from the films. The art is compelling and sharp.
