Stay-At-Home Theater: HELLO MARY LOU: PROM NIGHT 2 on The Last Drive In Movie with Joe Bob Briggs on Shudder TV streaming service. The Prom Night tag was just an attempt to draw in fans of the original Prom Night film. This is not a slasher movie at all. It's about the spirit of poor Mary Lou returning to her high school 30 years later to disrupt, kill, and possess the new prom queen. There are some really well-done special effects in this low-budget Canadian film. It also marks an early appearance of genre movie actor Michael Ironside, best known for David Croneberg's SCANNERS.
