High Sierra (1941) Official Trailer - Ida Lupino, Humphrey Bogart Movie HD

Stay-At-Home Theater:  HIGH SIERRA. I watched this on Turner Classic Movies, commercial-free and with commentary before and after. A bit slow, but worth watching for the performance that launched Humphrey Bogart's career and landed him an even more famous role in THE MALTESE FALCON. Here, he portrays a complex character, not your standard 1940's film gangster. This movie has a lot of heart. Bogart as Ray shows a lot of compassion and empathy and generosity towards others less advantaged.  THREE AND ONE-HALF STARS. P.S. The screenwriters sure did write a lot of corny, antiquated one-liners and at times inappropriate comments back then.
