It lasted a respectable eight years. You may recognize the voice of host E.G. Marshall, the actor that carried the "They're Creeping Up on You!" segment in the Stephen King / George Romero film Creepshow. Upson Pratt and his "bug problem" are forever burned into my memory. +++   Cons are cancelled (with good reason) but Cherry Capital Comic Con just announced their 2020 Gary Reed Independent Creator of the Year Award winner. Kasey Pierce deservedly won, but finalists Corinne Roberts, David Hayes, and Jay Jacot also deserved this award.   I have many friendships built at Traverse City, Michigan's convention when they first began. The highlight of my own career was when indie publishing giant Gary Reed asked if he could publish me in his newly revived Caliber Comics. This felt right mainly because Gary was such an deep, thoughtful writer himself and, hey, he liked what I was doing!
