Stay-At-Home Theater: QUEEN AND SLIM on HBO. A film that is both heart-warming and disturbing, both at the same time. A pull-over by a Cleveland cop goes off the rails and ends in accidental death, causing the main characters to flee for the rest of the movie. The incident lends fuel to both opponents of violent protest, hatred of police, and advocates for change -including  vilification of rebels. There is one scene that is especially disturbing, showing how individuals can pick up the wrong messages from their idols and lead to uncharacteristic behavior. I was captivated by the story and performances even though I knew well in advance that this would not end well. FOUR STARS.
