Today's comics readers and buyers aren't buying what I grew up on. And, if we're being honest, Marvel and DC aren't producing what I grew up on either. It's different now and it's not drawing kids and teens in anymore, at least not in the numbers that it used to.

Making Career Goals:
Pro artist Phillip Sevy says “I make career goals every year but I've found them only to be helpful when they're entirely ME dependent. I don't make goals that involve publishers picking up a pitch or editors hiring me. I make goals about accomplishing things on my end. That way, they only hinge on me.”
