Image. Sci-fi, dystopia.

Sky goes black. No sun for years. Survival Outposts. Mutation of animals and humans if in the dark too long. Runners drive dangerous routes for supplies and escorting folks. Art is stellar. Story made for film. Feels like an excellent first episode of a great show. Well worth multiple reads. Nice letter in back from writer. SUBBED. AM I CRAZY, OR DO I FEEL LIKE WE BOTH WANT A SECOND DATE? 4.5/5

BRZRKR #1

Boom! Sci-fi action.

Extreme machismo and brutality. Underwritten. Man can't die. Punches people practically in half, through skulls, dashed jaws. Performs wild missions, then heals up. Anomaly of a man. Science can't explain it yet. Mysterious past. Only get miniscule plot by last 6 pages. Good cliffhanger though. Color good. NOT SUBBED. NICE MEETING YOU THOUGH. 3.5/5

UNDONE BY BLOOD: OTHER SIDE OF EDEN #1

Aftershock. Western, historical, crime.

Dual story lines in two styles of genre and art. Old western novelization, and present day 1930s. Well paced, nicely drawn. Shockingly, it didnt grab me like the first five-issue arc last year. Seems to be self-contained from the previous arc, and you can read either "volume" run in whatever order. For me personally, I'll get trade later, as I know I will enjoy it more. NOT SUBBED. I'M JUST NOT LOOKING TO GET SERIOUS. IT'S ME, NOT YOU. 4/5

CHARIOT #1

AWA Upshot. Sci-fi/fantasy, crime, action.

Awwwwwww yes. Sexy, fun, fast-paced, 80s throwback. Kinetic, slightly predictable, super fun. Car is sentient. Mature crime drama about family, debt, guns and wish-fulfillment. SUBBED. WE NEED TO DO THIS AGAIN NEXT MONTH WHEN YOU'RE BACK IN TOWN. 4/5

SAVAGE #1

Valiant. Contemporary fantasy, action, Humor.

Mature and bloody, humorous tone, outlandish fun. Self-aware writing. Island caveman materializes in 21st century London. Fish out of water, teens on social media love him. Goofy, fast plot with very little setup. You just jump in immediately. Strong, dynamic illustrations. Recommended if you like Bloodshot, X-O Manowar, Red Sonja. More fun than the rating suggests, just not something I need now. Big Ben is used as a baseball bat to hit a bus when multiple dino monsters portal into town. It made me laugh. Perhaps a trade later on. Orignally June 2020 release but schedule was destroyed by pandemic. NOT SUBBED. YOU'RE A RIOT FOR BEER AND SKEEBALL. FRIENDS? 4/5
