I recorded the episodes of Season 1 for later viewing. It took me much
longer than expected to get through these 13 episodes, but that's not the fault of
the show. This is excellent and exceeded my expectations.
It follows the first year of Clarice Starling's work with the FBI following
the events after The Silence Of The Lambs film.
Great cast. Fantastic scripts. A villain as frightening and despicable as any
from Thomas Harris' novels and the films. The season could be viewed as one
long investigation that weaves through every episode, although the earlier
episodes only have bits and pieces and contain complete stories until the
final five or so really delve deeply into the major plot/confrontation.
I'm afraid this might have been too grim and dark for regular tv viewers.
I'd love to see a second season, but don't know if this was renewed. FIVE
STARS.
