Matthew Lewis was born on June 27, 1989 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England and raised in the nearby town of Horsforth. Lewis is the youngest of three boys, brothers Chris Lewis and actor Anthony Lewis. He attended St. Mary's Menston Catholic Voluntary Academy. He rose to fame as Neville Longbottom in all eight Harry Potter™ films. Since the conclusion of the final film, Harry Potter™ and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, he has starred in Rowan Athale’s Wasteland and was in the recent film adaptation of Me Before You alongside Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke. Matthew’s TV credits include Bluestone 42, The Syndicate, Ripper Street, and Happy Valley. His live stage performances include Our Boys at the West End directed by David Grindley, Agatha Christie’s Verdict at the Theatre Royal directed by Joe Harmston, and Unfaithful directed by Adam Penford.
