THE COMIC BOOK SHOP has been in operation for 34+ years, with current ownership of more than half of that time. Featuring current comics and back issues, the shop also offers toys and other collectibles and sponsors several book clubs, a podcast and participates in local events. The shop is noted as "a haven for a diverse and growing community of comic book fans" (Delaware Today, March 2019) In that same Delaware Today article owner Sarah Titus elaborated on the shop's mission: "You learn how to be a good person from reading superheroes, and we've made The Comic Book Shop a place where, whoever's being picked on that's who we're gonna help out. Who's under attack right now? We're going to raise funds for them. We're going to raise visibility for them."
