EDITOR'S NOTE: I've got a soft spot for indie comics creators and love to share their work with blog readers when deserving. Gary Scott Beatty is an occasional contributor to this blog. Here's a look at the upcoming STRANGE HORROR . . . . . . . .
Vince Locke! Amanda Rachels! Andy Bennett! We have these legendary artists and more coming in Strange Horror #1. |

Don't be fooled by the storybook design, Cinderella Daughter of the Witch is The Brothers Grimm, not Disney. Reading the Grimm version, I realized Cinderella's mother must have been a witch and instantly the entire story came together. Spells explain a lot.

Worms is a nasty little story with a Mean Girls vibe that illustrator Amanda Rachels put across beautifully! Remember her from way back in Indie Comics Magazine? The killer clowns in Vicious Circus? Who could forget!

Here, Hell's Reporter is beginning to figure it all out in this story illustrated by Andy Bennett, just one of the tales in Strange Horror #1.

This is exciting working with comic book artists I've known for years: Vince Locke (The Sandman), Andy Bennett (Kolchak the Night Stalker), Nik Poliwko (The Creeps), Bill Bryan (Dark Oz), and Amanda Rachels (Vicious Circus)! The variety of art styles in Strange Horror #1 is so attractive, in spite of the horror.
Stay tuned here for more art, story and details as they unfold on how you can get your hands on this new Aazurn 80-page book! (Next week find out where to get a freebie!)
