IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE (1953) on Turner Classic Movies.
Thankfully, what was shown was the non-3D print of the film, although it
wasn't hard to figure out where they used the effects. Not just a simple
aliens invade us and want to conquer Earth plot, this was thoughtful
and a neat spin on the usual alien monster fare of that time (McCarthy and
the threat of Communism). Based on "The Meteor", a short story by
iconic science-fiction writer Ray Bradbury. THREE AND ONE-HALF
STARS.
