Comic artist Greg LaRocque will be among the guests at the First State Comic Con this coming Sunday (January 14) at the Mill Creek Fire Hall, 3900 Kirkwood Highway, Marshallton (Wilmington) Delaware.
While LaRocque began his comics career at DC Comics (Mystery In Space #115, 1981) he has also completed an equivalent volume of work for Marvel Comics. His first work for them was Power Man And Iron Fist #73 (1981).
His most prominent work at Marvel was the launch of Web Of Spider-Man with writer Louise Simson in April 1985.
LaRocque later returned to DC Comics with Legion Of Super-Heroes, followed by a long run with writer William Messner-Loebs on The Flash from 1988-1993.
LaRocque has also published his creator-owned material in The Exiled, CryBaby, and The Dreaming graphic novel, all for independent publisher Exlied Studio. He also assisted Dave Cockrum with The Futurians in 2010, and has done work for London Night Studio, Peregrine Entertainment, Realm Press, Catfish Comics and Avatar Press.
LaRocque’s fantasy artwork has been exhibited in Chicago and other sites. He is a resident of Baltimore, Maryland.
