Comics Review: SHARKEY THE BOUNTY HUNTER Trade Paperback

SHARKEY THE BOUNTY HUNTER by Mark Millar (writer) and Simone Bianchi (ilustrator).  (Image Comics, December 2019)  Trade paperback, 160 pages.  ISBN # 1534313664 / 9781534313668. Collects Sharkey The Bounty Hunter  #1-6.

Summary on the Goodreads website . . . . .

Set in a brilliant new sci-fi universe, Sharkey is a blue-collar bounty hunter tracking criminals across the galaxy in his converted, rocket-powered ice-cream truck. Aided and abetted by his ten-year-old partner, he's out for the biggest bounty of his career.

Bookshelves: Far-future, science-fiction, space opera
My four-star review on the Goodreads website . . . . .

Above average mini-series featuring an intergalactic bounty-hunter's attempt to apprehend a high priority criminal and score a huge monetary reward. Think a bit gamier version of Star Wars' Bobba Fett on steroids.

Mark Millar does an admirable job building an engaging storyline and peppering it with extra flavor to hold our attention. There is a lot of depth to Sharkey's character that comes out in short doses as the story progresses. The art by Simone Bianchi is incredible. It appears he had a great time creating inside the galaxy-spanning playground that Millar provided.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected, and found it worth a second and third reading.
